Kootenay nearly triples private placement and announces two new property acquisitions

Due to significant interest,  Kootenay has increased the size of its non-brokered private placement financing, which was originally for gross proceeds of $2.5-million,  to gross proceeds to the company of $7,000,289.66.

Wesdome update drill results and outline forthcoming program

Provided an update on underground drifting and drilling results from the late 2018 and early 2019 exploration and development activities at the company’s wholly owned Eagle River mine..

Scorpio Gold – Rising like a phoenix from the ashes

Further to Scorpio Gold Corp.’s press release dated Jan. 28, 2019, the company has completed the Waterton buyout, as a result of which, among other things, the company’s senior secured debt owing to an affiliate of Waterton Global Resources Management in the amount of $6,103,562 (U.S.) has been extinguished.

The company now holds a 100-per-cent interest in the Mineral Ridge project, located in Nevada. Continue reading

Well the final day as arrived at the 2019 PDAC, and as is usual, the show opens earlier, at 9 am and closes at 12.00 pm, meaning a quick three hour burst around those booths where you’re looking to connect with people.

At 9 am today, probably half the booths were not manned, indicating a hard night of partying had possibly taken its toll. Continue reading

It was always going to be interesting to see if the attendance would be effected by the newly introduced CAD$23 admission charge, and the general consensus was that numbers were down on last year, especially so around the fringes of the conference.

I met a good number of boot holders that were disappointed in the lack of footfall past their booth, and there seemed to be few retail investors in the show. Continue reading

Once again a mining show opens in the shadow of a much larger and famous show, this time in Toronto where the Metal Investor conference is in town for the two days running up to PDAC.
