Nouveau Monde receives $5.2 million in financial support

   Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc.  {TSX.V: NOU}

Announced that it has received non-dilutive financial leverage totaling $5,206,905 to advance its business strategy./

These amounts in the form of grants and loans will be invested in particular to create a graphite purification demonstration plant to qualify Nouveau Monde’s value-added products as anode material for lithium-ion batteries. Continue reading

European Gold Forum online worked well

   European {World} Gold forum online.

The regular European Gold Forum run by the Denver Gold Group ran last week, and is a show I enjoy travelling to Zurich each year to attend, despite the high costs of doing so!

This year, because of the covid-19 virus, the conference was run entirely online, and to my surprise it worked very well, with no technical hitches. Here are my thoughts. Continue reading

Irving Resources resumes drilling at Omui

Announced it has recently completed four diamond drill holes at Omu Sinter and has now resumed drilling at Omui Mine Site, both targets being part of its 100% controlled Omu Gold Project, Hokkaido, Japan.

Following review of the COVID-19 situation in the Omu region, an area where no confirmed cases have been reported, Irving has decided to continue exploration. Continue reading

Scorpio Gold to settle interest payment in shares

   Scorpio Gold {TSX.V: SGN}

Has elected to settle its semi-annual interest payment on its US$7,175,000 secured subordinated convertible debentures.  The interest payment date is April 27, 2020 and the interest payment record date is April 20, 2020.

Subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange the Company will issue a total of 6,368,600 common shares to settle its semi-annual interest payment of US$361,699. Continue reading

Silver – An estimated 40% of global mines now offline due to covid-19

   Silver

An estimated 40% of world silver mine production has been suspended due to mine closures ordered by the Peruvian and Mexican governments as part of their states of emergency due to the covid-19 virus.

The Peruvian is expected to extend the lockdown, due to expire on the 26th April, for another two weeks.  Worryingly, the number of new coronavirus cases in both Peru and Mexico is rising exponentially. Continue reading

Happy Easter

   Happy Easter

We wish all our readers a peaceful and safe Easter.

This is probably the saddest and most challenging time of our lives.

It’s a perfect time to reflect on the sacrifices being made on our behalf by the people putting their lives on the line for our benefit, in particular our brave NHS staff, but not forgetting  shop workers, transport staff, and the people processing the food we buy.
