Mr Bonner will be responsible for bringing Great Boulder’s Peak Hill project into production by the end of 2027 and then bringing its Side Well project into production in 2028.

Great Boulder takes key step towards production with appointment of Chief Mining Engineer
Highly experienced Mining Engineer Rod Bonner will lead the development strategy at the Peak Hill gold project in WA, where Great Boulder has an ore purchase agreement with Westgold.
Great Boulder Resources (ASX: GBR) is pleased to announce that it has appointed highly experienced mining engineer Rod Bonner as Chief Mining Engineer.
Mr Bonner will be responsible for bringing Great Boulder’s Peak Hill project into production by the end of 2027 and then bringing its Side Well project into production in 2028.
Mr Bonner is a highly experienced Mining Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in Australia, Africa and the UK incorporating leadership of mine production roles and technical studies. His career includes management of mining operations, leadership of corporate technical services teams and responsibility for feasibility studies and detailed mine designs.
Mr Bonner joins the fast-growing and highly capable team led by Chairman Chris Tuckwell, who has more than 40 years’ global mining experience, and Managing Director Andrew Paterson, who has more than 30 years’ experience in surface and underground mining and exploration roles.
HIGHLIGHTS
➢ As Chief Mining Engineer for Great Boulder, Rod Bonner will drive the Company’s development strategy and build the technical team required to bring Peak Hill into production by the end of CY2027
➢ Peak Hill has a clear, low-cost pathway to production and cashflow under an ore purchase agreement with Great Boulder’ s largest shareholder Westgold Resources (ASX: WGX)
➢ The Peak Hill development will be followed by the start of production at Great Boulder’s Side Well gold project in 2028; Side Well has a collaboration agreement with Westgold
➢ Peak Hill has a resource of 481,000oz and Side Well has a resource of 1.01Moz
➢ Great Boulder expects to publish significant resource updates for both projects over coming months.
