Neometals Ltd {ASX: NMT} Announced that they have signed a preliminary deal with German metallurgical equipment supplier SMS Group GmbH to commercialise NMT’s lithium-ion battery recycling technology.

Under the terms of the agreement, Neometals and SMS Group will form an equally-owned JV, which will further develop, manage and operate Neometals’ lithium-ion recycling business.

Setting up of the joint venture will allow the German firm to evaluate results of the technology being used.

This announcement follows on from Neometals’ recent deal with a Chinese group for their Barrambie Vanadium / titanium project, and encouraging drill results from their Mt. Edwards nickel project, both in WA.
