Gold featured dominantly in the Market Review for June due to its sudden fall caused by the FOMC announcing they may raise interest rates twice in two years time. The subsequent reaction was disproportionate in my view, and managed to strengthen a falling US dollar, increase US treasury Bond yields, and the price of gold to fall.
Stocks and indices leveraged to gold suffered as the leverage works in both directions of course! Some of the large gold producer suffered double figure percentage falls, most gold mining exploration stocks suffered far worse, in an all round bloodbath.

Stocks mentioned include Colonial Coal, Zenyatta, Ardea Resources, Orla Mining, Newcore Gold, Maple Gold, and Condor Gold.
