European Gold Forum – Day 3

European Gold Forum – Day 3

The final day of the forum, like many similar events, is like the day after the party the night before, quite literally in the case of most mining shows!

i arrived early for a meeting and it was like entering the Mary Celeste on a quiet day!  Just the odd person drinking coffee, and the odd company person looking for meeting attendees.

European Gold Forum – Day 3

.

The final day of the forum, like many similar events, is like the day after the party the night before, quite literally in the case of most mining shows!

.

i arrived early for a meeting and it was like entering the Mary Celeste on a quiet day!  Just the odd person drinking coffee, and the odd company person looking for meeting attendees.

.

I do feel sorry for companies presenting on the final day as there are few delegates in attendance, unlike the first two days when most seats are full for the presentations. I wonder whether speaking slots are cheaper on the final day?  If not, they should be, in my opinion.

A couple of good meetings to round off the day, then I left early to take a train from Zurich to Sagrans, then a bus to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. A bit of a dull day weather wise, but the scenery was still worth making the trip for.

An excellent sausage and rosti  lunch with some local wine in a tavern in Vaduz, then I returned the way I came and straight up to the airport for the last flight home.

.

All in all an excellent event and trip, I consider the European Gold Forum, run by the Denver Gold Group as the Rolls Royce of mining forums, in termsof overall quality, just edging out the excellent 121 conferences, and both are well ahead of the rest of the pack.
