Has broken with tradition and is charging investors to attend the Investors Exchange this year.

They are charging CAD $22 per day to attend the show, which is not particularity expensive, until you consider the elevated air fares and rip off hotel rates in Toronto during the PDAC!

Has broken with tradition and is charging investors to attend the Investors Exchange this year.

They are charging CAD $22 per day to attend the show, which is not particularity expensive, until you consider the elevated air fares and rip off hotel rates in Toronto during the PDAC!

I find it difficult to justify the PDAC charging investors, I see it as akin to Tesco charging shoppers to enter the store and buy their goods!

In the past entry to the Investors’ Exchange was free, and entrance to the Trade Show was paid for. This makes sense as investors had no reason to enter the trade show. Now, entry to the trade show is included in the price, but what use is that for investors who only wnat to meet companies?

I see this as greed, there is no reason to charge anyone to enter the main show, and in particular for Wednesday where it’s only open for 4 hours as the show closes at 1 pm on the final day.

It will be interesting to see what the attendance figures are like this year, I suspect people may only go in for one day rather than multiple days, and that may drag down the attendance figures.

We shall see, I hope to see this reversed next year.
