PDAC 2019 – Day 1

It was always going to be interesting to see if the attendance would be effected by the newly introduced CAD$23 admission charge, and the general consensus was that numbers were down on last year, especially so around the fringes of the conference.

I met a good number of boot holders that were disappointed in the lack of footfall past their booth, and there seemed to be few retail investors in the show.

Today, Monday is the crunch day, when Bay St.arrives at the show.  If numbers are poor today they will not have a chance to recover before the end of the show.

I have noticed some people are wearing badges from companies, one way of avoiding the admission fee.
