Reported improved results from the last quarter, but the market was disappointed and the stock fell 25% afterwards.

Wesdome Gold CEO Falls on His Sword

CEO Duncan Middlemiss would appear to have fallen on his sword after submitting his resignation yesterday after a year of poor performance and missed guidance for Wesdome Gold Mines.

The market has reacted to the recent problems at the company and the CEO has resigned. Normally this is likely to be seen as a positive, but in this case it has unnerved investors.  Continue reading

Gold Road Confirm Production Guidance

Reported that their Gruyere Gold Mine has delivered to 2022 annual guidance, and to present a preliminary production and financial update for the December 2022 quarter.

The Gruyere JV is a 50:50 joint venture with Gruyere Mining Company Pty Ltd, a member of the Gold Fields Ltd group, who manages and operates the Gruyere gold mine.  Continue reading
